about

many of the dilemmas arising during the production of this particular song were solved by simply asking the computer to toss its virtual coin.
it can do that, these days.

this is the way forward.

"do we put in some superfluous noise right at the beginning for no discernible reason?"

yes!

"should we maybe have a bit more of the pretty guitar figure and turn down the migraine-inducing electronics?"

no!

that kind of thing.

not only did this simplify the sometimes trying process of creating the perfect pop song, it also provided us with the attractive artwork accompanying said tune.

apparently, it now sounds like "windy miller being pushed off the end of the pier whilst playing an enormous wurlitzer organ really badly."

we can live with that.

anyway, this is really good, in spite of itself.

lyrics

nor is it a league
nor are they
the champions
i digress

i will
i will arise
and go now
and go to
apply for a new
passport
in order
to amend
the town of my birth
to
stoke on trent
north staffs

you thought
that big wheel
your own
well
what goes around
etc
Ts and Cs
etc
you will not
own
the vehicle

i manage
my
anger
until
farming today
what a world!
it rolls on
in spite
of
aunty laura
and her
yellow weather

it's the bees
THE BEES!
keep me
awake
of
an evening
of
late
THE BEES!
how quiet
and how
far
away?
